Improved Indigenous Fowl UPKARI
25 June 2023, New Delhi: Indian native chicken with Frizzle plumage has been crossed with CARI Red for the development of Upcari birds. These multicolored birds have a single comb and medium body size. The presence of Frizzle plumage helps in fast heat dissipation due to which birds are better adapted to tropical climates, especially for arid zones.
