IFFCO will buy 2500 agriculture drones to promote the use of Nano Urea

06 July 2023, New Delhi: Under the national campaign to promote nano fertilizers across the country, agricultural cooperative IFFCO will buy 2,500 agriculture drones and will also provide training to 5,000 farmers. These drones will be used for spraying fertilizers and chemicals. This is the biggest purchase of drones by an agricultural cooperative company. 

This national campaign of IFFCO started on Tuesday i.e. 4th July. IFFCO has already signed an agreement for the procurement of drones for spraying its products Nano Urea and Nano DAP in a phased manner. IFFCO further informed that it will also buy 2500 electric three-wheelers to transport drones, fertilizers, and essential goods to the fields. Apart from this, the company has also placed orders for tractor-mounted boom sprayers for spraying nano fertilizers. 

IFFCO said in a statement that IFFCO has given the responsibility of technical capability, quality, production capacity, manufacturing process, training program, and infrastructure to the Drone Federation of India. After examining the features of the drone, they said that the technical features of the agricultural drone being procured by IFFCO for spraying nano fertilizers are in line with the industry standards.
