10 July 2023, New Delhi: Central Institute for Cotton Research – Sirsa, Haryana has issued an advisory to the farmers to get higher yields of cotton crop. In this advisory, cotton farmers have been told by the institute to save 91-120 day crops from the sap-sucking pest attack and to control these pests.
Control of Adult whitefly-
For adult control of whitefly, Dipenthiuron 50 WP (500 gm) or Afidopyropene 50G/L (1000 ml) Dinotefuran 20 SG (150 gm) or Flonicamid 50 WG/L (1000 ml) (200 grams) per hectare.
Control of white fly in cotton
If the number of nymphs of whitefly is very high and leaves are sticky and black mold is observed, then Pyriproxyfen (1250 ml) or Spiromesifin 22.9 sc (500 ml) or Brufofazin 25 sc (1000 ml) per Spray hectares.
