Field Plan and Fertilizer Requirement for Establishment of New Orchard of Mango, Guava and Other Fruits

01 April 2024, New Delhi: If farmers are planning to establish new orchards of mango, guava and other fruit crops, April- May is the best time for digging pits. As per the layout plan, dig the pit of 1m x 1m x 1 m dimension, keep the 2 feet upper layer of soil separate and leave the dug pit open for 1-1.5 months. 

After that upper layers of soil should be used for refilling the pits after mixing with 10-15 kg FYM, 200-250 g neem cake, and 100-150 g bone meal.
