Insecticides India launches new insecticide ‘Mission’ for paddy crop

13 July 2023, New Delhi: Insecticides (India) Limited (IIL) has launched a new age insecticide called Mission, effective for control of different lepidopteran pests in crops like paddy, sugarcane, soybean, vegetables, etc.

Mission (Technical: Chlorantraniliprole) will be available in granule and liquid formulations, having a unique mode of action that controls pest resistance to other insecticides. It is safe for the beneficial insects to the crops. These benefits make Mission an excellent solution and provide better productivity to the farmers. Mission has contact & systemic action and due to this insects are effectively controlled after ingestion. Mission effectively controls stem borer and leaf folder in paddy, which are the major pests in paddy.

Mission’s technical and formulation is being manufactured in India by IIL whereas earlier it was being imported to India. This “Green” category insecticide is under the IIL’s “Make in India” initiative to benefit even the small and marginal Indian farmers pan India.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Rajesh Aggarwal, Managing Director, IIL, said, “We are pleased to launch Mission today under our Make In India Initiative after Torry, Green Label, Dominant & Stunner.
