Haryana govt removes market fee for fruit & vegetable vendors

13 January 2022, Chandigarh: Haryana Agriculture Minister Jai Prakash Dalal said that fruit and vegetable vendors will not have to pay market fee in the mandis of the State, one percent market fee and one percent HRDF fee has been waived by the State Government. He said that due to this, a total profit of Rs. 30 crore would be given to the traders of the State annually.

This information was given by the Haryana Agriculture Minister after a surprise inspection of the vegetable market in Bhiwani today.

He said that the State Government supports the trading community and is continuously implementing welfare policies in the interests of traders. He said that the fruit and vegetable vendors of the state had been demanding waiver of market fees from a long time, which the government has waived off. On this, the fruit and vegetable vendors extended gratitude towards the Agriculture Minister Jai Prakash Dalal.

During this, the Agriculture Minister also inspected the sanitation system in the mandi and directed the officers to remove water from the Mandi premises and ensure regular cleaning. He also directed to prepare a plan for sewerage system in Mandi.
