PAU Vc Congratulates Faculty And Staff For Prestigious ICAR Award
11 December 2020, Punjab, IN: Addressing the faculty and staff of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) today, the Vice-Chancellor Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon congratulated them for enabling the University to secure the first position among State Agricultural Universities and the second position among Agricultural Universities and Institutes in the ranking of Agricultural Universities 2020 by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi. “The award speaks of the team work as well as hard work,” he said to the faculty and staff. “The University has also been accredited with A+ ranking by ICAR in 2019.

It is the only agricultural university of India in the Web of Science based rankings for the year 2020 in agricultural sciences. Earlier, the University has been decorated with Sardar Patel Outstanding ICAR Institution Award 2012-2017,” he disclosed. There has been expansion and development of PAU from all sides, he observed while stating, “Dedication and hard work have no substitute.” “PAU is a big family. If there are any issues, come forward and discuss. Everybody is welcome as a colleague,” he said, while talking in detail about the budget, pension scheme, CAS (Career Advancement Scheme) cases and transfer policy.
Dr Dhillon shared former PAU Vice-Chancellor Dr SS Johl’s message which read: “I feel proud of you and the University to which I belong like my mother that is feeding and sustaining me and continue to do so till grave.”
Earlier, Dr RS Sidhu, Registrar, PAU welcomed the faculty and the staff, and later proposed a vote of thanks.
