PAU Vice Chancellor Releases Official 2021 Calendar; Calls For Renewed Resolve Towards Farmers’ Empowerment

31 December, 2020, Punjab, IN: “Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic in 2020, Punjab Agricultural University pulled out all stops to ensure the agricultural community carried out all farm operations smoothly, while disseminating sustainable technologies for the same”, remarked PAU Vice Chancellor and Padam Shri Awardee, Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon, while releasing the official calendar 2021 at a special meeting of the senior university officers. Dr Dhillon appreciated the efforts of the faculty, staff and students towards ascertaining top rank for PAU among all state agricultural universities and called for continued dedication and efforts to improve farmers’ income in the coming year. “Amid the ongoing struggles “, said the Vice Chancellor, “let us keep going the extra distance to strengthen our connect with the farmers through cutting edge research and extension, and emerge stronger than before.”

The Director of Research, Dr Navtej Singh Bains, Director of Extension, Dr Jaskarn Singh Mahal, Registrar, Dr Rajinder Singh Sidhu, Dean Post Graduate Studies, Dr Gurinder Kaur Sangha, Director Students Welfare, Dr Ravinder Kaur Dhaliwal, Additional Director of Research, Dr Karanjit Singh Thind, Additional Director of Communication, Dr Tejinder Singh Riar, Dean, College of Agricultural Engineering, Dr Ashok Kumar, Dean College of Home Science, Dr Sandeep Bains, Dean, College of Basic Sciences and Humanities, Dr Shammi Kapoor and Heads of Departments were present at the meeting.
