Development of AI-based Android Applications in Agriculture

24 March 2024, New Delhi: ICAR- Indian Agricultural Statistics Research Institute, New Delhi organised a 21-day Centre for Advanced Faculty Training programme on ‘Development of AI-based Android Applications in Agriculture’ was held online from 05th – 24th March 2024.

Dr. Rajender Parsad, Director, ICAR-IASRI, New Delhi, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

A training program aimed to enhance the professional skills of scientists and teaching faculties at ICAR institutes and Agricultural Universities by providing knowledge on Android-based mobile application development. The participants focused on designing and developing Android apps, using Machine Learning and Deep Learning techniques, and integrating these models into the Android app.

During the programme the participants learned about various tools and technologies with practical aspects.

A total of 35 scientists/teaching faculties from ICAR Institutes/Agricultural Universities of diverse backgrounds (19 different disciplines) participated in the training programme.
