National Webinar on “Partnering Women in Value-Chain Development
17 March 2021, New Delhi, IN: The ICAR-Central Institute for Women in Agriculture, Bhubaneswar, Odisha virtually organized a National Webinar on “Partnering Women in Value-Chain Development: A Promising way for creating sustained livelihood and Agri-preneurship” today.
In his keynote address on “Value-addition of horticultural crops, especially, fruits”, Dr. S.K. Dwivedi, Director, DRL, DRDO urged the youths for women entrepreneurship through ITK-based technologies.
Dr. S.K. Srivastava, Director ICAR-CIWA, Bhubaneswar, Odisha emphasized on the “VALUE” that stands for “Various, Augmentation, Large, Utilisation and Entrepreneurship” and developing the strategic approach to enhance the income of farm women through analysis of existing value-chain.
Around 130 participants including scientists, technocrats, research and extension personnel and students from the ICAR Institutes, State Agricultural Universities and State Government Officials from across the nation also virtually participated in the Webinar.
