Delegates of Bhutan, Bangladesh & Nepal visit a-IDEA, ICAR-NAARM

29 April 2024, Hyderabad: Under the International Exchange Programme of FAO & ICAR (Asia – Africa South Cooperation) in the millet value chain, ICAR-Indian Institute of Millet Research organized an Exposure Visit to the participants of the International Workshop from Bhutan, Bangladesh and Nepal on Millets Production, Processing, and Value Chain Development to a-IDEA, ICAR- National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad, today.

Dr. A. Dhandapani, Head, Information and Communication Management, ICAR-NAARM briefed the about the institute and provided a session on Basic Principles of Field Experimentation & Statistical Tools.

Dr. N. A. Vijay Avinashilingam, Additional CEO, a-IDEA, ICAR-NAARM emphasized various programmes and initiatives taken by a-IDEA by citing examples of startups in various domains in the field of agriculture and allied sectors that have brought prosperity to farmers.

Officials from ICAR-NAARM and a-IDEA interacted with the delegates to understand their activities, business incubation, and potential collaboration opportunities. The visit aimed to understand a-IDEA’s activities.

The Delegates visited a-IDEA to discuss start-ups, explore incubation facilities, and view prototype models.
