Food & Agribusiness Accelerator 5.0 Roadshow in Kolkata by ICAR-NAARM in collaboration with ICAR-NINFET

10 September 2022, New Delhi: a-IDEA (Association for Innovation Development of Entrepreneurship in Agriculture), ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad in collaboration with ICAR-National Institute of Natural Fibre Engineering & Technology, Kolkata organized AGRIUDAAN® Food & Agribusiness Accelerator 5.0 Roadshow here today.

On this occasion, Dr. D.B. Shakyawar, Director, ICAR-NINFET and Chief Guest of the event stressed upon the role of young budding entrepreneurs in building of New India; and the importance of Agribusiness Accelerator (AGRI UDAAN). He praised the initiative for handholding of Startups in Food and Agribusiness sector across the country with the financial assistance from investors.

Mr. Hari Balasubramanian, Mentor & Angel Investor highlighted the prospects of new business in Eastern and North-east regions of the country. He emphasized that investors should take lead in developing entrepreneurship ecosystem in agriculture in different sectors.

Mrs Swati Kerketta, AGM, NABARD and Mr Das, DGM SBI also briefed about their promotional schemes for innovation development of entrepreneurship in agriculture sector. 

Earlier, Dr. S. Ravichandran, Principal Scientist, ICM, and Dr. N.A. Vijay Avinashilingam, Principal Scientist, XSM & Additional CEO, a-idea, ICAR-NAARM briefed about a-IDEA and AGRI UDAAN 5.0 and highlighted the accomplishments of a-IDEA during earlier AGRI UDAAN and its impact on successful growth through nurturing the cohort of start-ups in Food & Agribusiness sector.

Sponsors, Investors, Mentors, Successful Start-ups and staff of ICAR-NAARM, ICAR-NINFET, ICAR-CIFRI, and other organizations attended the event. Startups viz., Borlaug Web Services, Quick Solutions Project Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. and NABARD were shared their experience of AGRI UDDAN 5.0 and incubation activities and networking in a-IDEA.
