10 August 2022, New Delhi: The a-IDEA, ICAR-NAARM organized the launching ceremony of AGRI UDAAN 5.0 Food and Agribusiness Accelerator Programme with the support of NABARD here today. This event is intended to invite the applications from focus areas of food and agri business start-ups across the country and provide the mentorship, industry networking, Investor-Investee meetups, and investment to selected startups.
Mr. Jayesh Ranjan IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Telangana, in his address as Chief Guest highlighted the role of incubators in strengthening the Startup ecosystem. He suggested that a-IDEA to take lead in developing entrepreneurship ecosystem in agriculture in different regions of the country.
Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director ICAR-NAARM, has given Presidential address and highlighted the accomplishments of a-IDEA during earlier AGRI UDAAN and its impact on successful growth of advanced stage of startups.
Dr. Sudha Mysore, CEO, Agrinnovate India Limited, New Delhi, Mr. Srinivas Rao Mahankali, CEO, T-Hub, Hyderabad and Mr. Inigo Arul Selvan, General Manager, NABARD, Hyderabad addressed the gathering as a guest of honour.
Sponsors (SBI, SIDBI, and Caspian), Investors, Mentors, Start-ups, CEOs of TBIs, Samunnati and staff of ICAR-NAARM, IIRR, NRC Meat, and other organizations attended the event. Startups viz., FarmOR Agri-Solutions Pvt Ltd and Dhisathi Robotics Pvt Ltd were shared their experience of AGRI UDDAN 4.0 and incubation activities and networking in a-IDEA.
The event was witnessed with awarding AGGNITE 2.0 winners, release of book on “Guidelines for Incubators” and unveiling of AGRI UDAAN 5.0 by the Chief Guest.
The program was ended with vote of thanks by Dr. G. Venkateshwarlu, Joint Director, ICAR-NAARM.
