CHETNA 2024: Empowering Agribusiness Entrepreneurs Nationwide

15 March 2024, New Delhi: ICAR- Central Sheep and Wool Research Institute, Avikanagar, organised Chetna 2024: Agribusiness Incubation Programme, today marking a significant milestone in fostering agricultural and animal husbandry entrepreneurship, especially in sheep, goat, and rabbit sector across India.

Dr. D.B. Shakyawar, Director, ICAR- National Institute of Natural Fibre Engineering & Technology, Kolkata, and Dr. Arun Kumar Tomar, Director, ICAR-CSWRI, emphasised the potential of natural fibres and addressed the challenges in agriculture and animal husbandry.

Dr. Neeru Bhoshan, Assistant Director General, IPTM Unit, ICAR, and Dr. Arun Kumar Tomar, Director, ICAR-CSWRI, were also present during the programme.

CHETNA-2024 aimed to foster entrepreneurial spirit and innovation in the agricultural sector. It featured online lectures, offline discussions, and presentations by national and international figures. The programme also provided workshops, panel discussions, and interactive sessions for knowledge exchange and skill development. Collaboration between Avikanagar scientists and entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds inspired and equipped attendees with tools to drive sustainable growth and transformation in agribusiness.

The culmination of the three-day residential meeting sparked discussions on new ventures and collaborations, paving the way for a vibrant future in agribusiness.

A total of 16 entrepreneurs and startups from eight states, attended the programme.
