11 May 2024, New Delhi: Maruyama is a Japanese sprayer manufacturer company that started to show its presence in the Indian market in December 2023 by showcasing the boom sprayer Phoenix 600. The company manufactures boom sprayers for farmers with various new technologies.
Maruyama began selling fire extinguishers in 1895. The company soon diversified into producing sprayer pumps for farmers in 1918 and rapidly developed several other technologies for sprayer pumps. It launched the industry’s first self-propelled boom sprayer ‘BSA-250’ in 1987.
Maruyama first showcased its boom sprayer Phoenix 600 in India at the Kisan Fair in Pune in December 2023. It has started conducting test drive programs in North India (Haryana) for farmers, distributors and field officers to demonstrate the competitiveness of the machine.
Phoenix 600 has a spraying width of 12 meters, spraying height of 500-1800 mm and ground clearance of 1025 mm. The machine has 35+ sprayer nozzles and a 600-liter spray tank capacity.
