Banana Variety Pacha Nadan (AAB)

10 December 2023, New Delhi: It is one of the popular Banana variety is of Tamil Nadu. The skin is thick and firm in nature. The crop duration of this variety is 10-12 months with a bunch weight of 15-18 kg.

It is being grown as an intercrop between coconut, areca nut, and betelvine plantations. It is resistant to leaf spot and viral disease. These fruits were used to cool the body temperature.

Both the ripened and un-ripened fruits are used for edible purposes.
