ICAR-CCRI organizes Workshop on IPR in Agricultural Research

21 March 2024, Nagpur: ICAR-Central Citrus Research Institute, Nagpur hosted an engaging workshop focused on Intellectual Property Rights in Agricultural Research. The event aimed to foster awareness among scientists and research scholars regarding the crucial role and implications of Intellectual Property Rights within the agricultural domain.

Dr. S. S. Roy, Senior Scientist and PI (NAIF-ITMU), ICAR-CCRI delivered the inaugural address highlighting the IP portfolio of ICAR.

Dr. Dilip Ghosh, Director, ICAR-CCRI, underscored the pivotal role of IPR in agricultural research, urging all scientists and scholars to prioritize innovation in their respective fields. He highlighted the necessity of incentivizing creativity and protecting intellectual assets within the agricultural research landscape.

A lead presentation was delivered by Dr. Bharat Suryawanshi, Assistant Controller of Patents and Designs at the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Intellectual Property Management, Nagpur, followed by an interactive session facilitating meaningful exchanges between participants and the expert.
