06 August 2021, New Delhi: The ICAR-Central Institute for Women in Agriculture, Bhubaneswar, Odisha organized a Virtual National Webinar on “Sensitization on Intellectual Property Rights in Agricultural Research and Education” today.
Dr. Anil Kumar, Director, ICAR-CIWA, Bhubaneswar emphasized on the importance of IPR and why it should be an integral part of all research in agriculture and allied sciences.
Dr. Lipi Das, Principal Scientist, ICAR-CIWA, Bhubaneswar highlighted the significance of IPR, its advantages and impacts on agricultural & allied sciences.
The main objective of the Webinar was to sensitize the of scientists and innovators on IP regime, its management & benefits to enable them reorient their research endeavors and engage in knowledge creation leading to further innovations. This will result in faster technological progress for the benefit of the farmers and farm women of the country.
The Webinar organized as a part of the “Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav” to commemorate 75 Years of India’s Independence registered participation by around 90 participants including Scientists and Staff Members of ICAR-CIWA, ICAR-AICRP on Women in Agriculture and Scientists from the other Government Organizations.
