HAU and Poland Varsity join hands for academic and research collaboration

14 August 2023, Chandigarh: Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University and Warsaw University, Poland will collaborate in education and research fields. For this, an agreement has been signed between the two universities, under which these universities will promote joint research, internship and training programmes for biotechnology application in the field of precision agriculture, academic exchange of students and researchers, etc.

The CCSHAU Vice-Chancellor Prof. B.R. Kamboj and Dean College of Basic Sciences and Humanities of the University, Dr. Neeraj Kumar, who are currently in Warsaw University, Poland with the aim of establishing mutual cooperation for academic and research pursuits between both the above two universities, had a detailed discussion with the Rector of the University, Prof. Alojzy Z Nowak on this topic. Representatives of the Department of Biological Sciences, Department of Environmental Microbiology, Department of Biotechnology and Department of Molecular Biology were also present.

On this occasion, Vice Chancellor, Prof. B.R. Kamboj said CCSHAU is looking to collaborate with the University of Warsaw at many levels, from conducting or attending online classes, internships and training to research projects conducted by joint teams of scientists.

This cooperation will prove to be very useful for both the universities, he said. Speaking on the occasion, Rector of Warsaw University, Prof. Alojzy Z Nowak said that we look forward to collaboration with Indian universities in research and didactic context. With this, while the students of Warsaw University will have the opportunity to learn about the history, culture and functioning of the institutions of the countries of the far east, we will also be able to share our knowledge and experiences with each other.

He said that some of the research done at the Faculty of Biology, University of Warsaw, has great potential for application in the agricultural sector. As an agricultural university, CCSHAU will enable us to conduct research on experimental farmlands.
