Procurement of kharif season crops in Haryana to start from October 1
20 September 2022, Chandigarh: Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that the procurement of Kharif season crops in Haryana will start from October 1. The State Government will procure around 1.60 lakh MT Bajra (millet) at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) under the Public Distribution System (PDS). He said that while keeping in view the sown area, farmers will be given the benefit of Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojana for the remaining produce.
The Deputy Chief Minister shared this information while interacting with the media persons in the Jhajjar district on Tuesday.
Responding to a question regarding the development of infrastructure facilities in the state, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the picture of the state would change after the development of the aviation hub in Hisar. Along with this, preparations are going on to make the Rakhigarhi site related to Harappan civilization a major centre from an archeological and tourism point of view.
He said that with the establishment of world’s largest single unit for car production in Kharkhoda, a new city would be developed near KMP.
After the press conference, the Deputy Chief Minister also met various delegations regarding different demands. While listening to the demand of the villagers of Badli, Pahasour and M.P.Majra regarding declaring Badli a municipality, the Deputy Chief Minister said that parks, fire stations and other facilities have been increased after the formation of a municipality.
Under the state government’s policy regarding property tax, no tax is charged for three years and it can be extended for two more years, he added.
As demanded by the villagers, the Deputy Chief Minister directed to conduct a survey in the concerned area.
The delegation of Arhtiya Association apprised the Deputy Chief Minister about their demands. The Deputy Chief Minister assured to convene a meeting in Chandigarh with a joint delegation of Arhtiya Association of all the districts of the state.
