Haryana Government is committed for conservation and development of gauvansh: Agriculture Minister JP Dalal

20 November 2023, Chandigarh: Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare and Animal Husbandry Minister, Sh. J. P Dalal said that the government’s dedication is continuously increasing the budget allocation for Gaushalas which aims to ensure that  there is no hindrance in the care and nurturing of cows. He emphasised the government’s focused efforts on cow protection and enhancement.

In order to encourage rural communities, he appealed for the use of organic fertilisers derived from cow dung in the cultivation. He cautioned against the toxic nature of synthetic fertilisers like urea and DAP, which have led to various harmful diseases.

The Minister was addressing the programme organised on Gopashtami on Monday at Baba Mungipa Gaushala in Tosham, Bhiwani district. He also announced to give Rs 15 lakh to Baba Mungipa Gaushala, Rs 11 lakh from discretionary fund and Rs 4 lakh from Gau Sewa Aayog.

Request for voluntary assistance from social workers and donors for Gaushalas

The Minister urged societal volunteers and donors to extend voluntary assistance to Gaushalas. Additionally, he appealed to social organisations and cow devotees to open more shelters to support helpless cows. He highlighted that cows are considered the abode of all deities. 

Sh. JP Dalal mentioned that the state and central governments are working towards the upliftment of the underprivileged. He highlighted ongoing initiatives focused on enhancing farmer incomes through various schemes.

Sh. JP Dalal stated the state government’s commitment to providing rights to the needy under the leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, youth is receiving jobs based on talent, enabling even the poorest to achieve success. The government supports agriculture diversification for substantial earnings.

He praised Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s leadership, acknowledging India’s exponential growth and recognition globally.  During the event, he also listened to people’s grievances and provided directives to officers present.
