Bharat Certis organises farmer training at Haryana
30 December 2021, New Delhi: Bharat Certis had organised training programmes at Village Khera and Rupana under Bhiwani District in Haryana. The training program had about 200 farmers from Bharat Certis’s five adopted villages viz. Khera, Rupana, Dulkot, Dhani Balhara, Dhani Girja under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
The training were imparted by team of experts from Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Bhiwani Dr. Gulab Singh, Scientist, Dr. Murari Lal, Horticulture Expert and Dr. Anuj Kumar, Meteorology expert. Dr Lal advised the farmers to adopt fruit crop cultivation like Ber, Bael and Pomegranate which are suitable for the prevailing soil and water conditions of the areas. He also emphasised on uses of Bael and its market demand.
Dr. Singh explained about Integrated Farming System (IFS) and also encouraged farmers to adopt it for generating more income and minimizing the risk. Instead of traditional farming he also emphasised that the farmers should adopt Beekeeping, Poultry, Fisheries, Fruit crop cultivation, Intercropping etc. An important advise from Dr Singh for farmers was to get their soil test and water test done to understand fertiliser requirement and water corrections.
Dr. Anuj Kumar shared about role of weather forecast in the farming and highlighted its importance.
Farmers were provided with protective jackets for severe cold weather from Bharat Certis Agriscience limited.
