21 September 2021, Agar, IN: Bharat Certis Agriscience Ltd., Mitsui & Co. Ltd., a group company of Japan and a leading Crop Protection Products Company under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiated a plantation campaign in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Guest Mr. Anil Kumar Tiwari, Deputy Director Agriculture, Agar Malwa planted a sapling of Baheda (Terminalia bellarica) in village Pacheti of Nalkheda taluka and more than 100 saplings were planted in the village.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Tiwari emphasized the role of trees in soil conservation and fight against pollution and advised farmers on soil health management and selection of quality seeds. He appreciated the company for this noble initiative and assured full support to the farmer oriented programs under this project. Notably ,company has adopted 5 villages in MP under its CSR programme. Apart from tree plantation, the company will also work on farmers training by experts on good agriculture practices and safe use of pesticides. It will also take initiatives related to health care of villagers and education of children. Other projects will also be in line as local needs and demand arises .
Senior scientists of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Agar Malwa, Dr. RPS Shaktawat and Dr. Rupendra Khandve also participated in this event. He also gave useful tips to the farmers and distributed moringa plants and vegetable seeds free of cost from KVKs. The program was presided over by Shri SS Jawla, AVP, Bharat Certis Agriscience Ltd. Other senior officers of the company Mr. LK Tyagi, Mr. Vinod Sikarwar, Mr. Sudhanshu Srivastava and Mr. Rakesh Kumar Nirmal played a significant role in the whole event.More than 250 farmers from beneficiary village Pacheti and nearby villages participated in this programme. The farmers were enthusiastic with the social initiatives being taken by the company.
