BASF launched new Herbicide Vesnit® Complete for Sugarcane
26 May 2022, Mumbai: Sugarcane farmers in India now have a new option for grasses & broadleaf weed control with an innovative herbicide, Vesnit ® Complete launched by BASF. The new solution empowers farmers with a whole new level of post-emergent weed control ensuring better yield for their crop.
India is the second largest producer of Sugarcane in the world. However, the occurrence of various grasses & broad leaf weeds such as Echinochloaspp, Chloris barbata, Eleusine indica, Amaranthusviridis. Parthenium hysterophorusetcis one of the key challenges faced by the Sugarcane farmers in India.
Vesnit® Complete is an innovative combination of Topramezone & Atrazine, two different modes of action and an inbuilt adjuvant which makes it unique in effectively controlling grasses & broadleaf weeds for longer duration. In addition to Sugarcane,Vesnit® Complete is equally effective for controlling grasses & broadleaf weeds in corn field.
