Aims to give hassle free complete weed control and peace of mind to Sugarcane farmers. Provides best in class weed control of grasses, BLW, and sedges
05 April 2022, Mumbai: In an effort to solve sugarcane farmers’ problems, SWAL Corporation Limited launched Trishuk- a weed management solution. The innovative product is India’s 1st 3-way mix Sugarcane Herbicide that minimizes weed management cost and increases crop productivity by effective weed management. Composed of 2,4-D Sodium salt 44%, Metribuzin 35%, and PSE 1% WG, it provides 3 levels of protection, as a Plant Growth Regulator (PGR), Mobile Photosynthesis Inhibitor, and acetolactate synthase (ALS) inhibitor.
Sugarcane farmers face 25-50% yield loss due to improper weed management every year. Trishuk aims to minimize these losses through its innovative 3-way mix herbicide. In the last three years, Trishuk has shown exceptional results in more than 1000 trials that were conducted in major Sugarcane-producing states in India like Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Punjab & Haryana. It was observed that Trishuk gives 50-60 days of weeds control and reduced weed management labour cost by Rs. 3000-4000/- per acre.
To make the product accessible to the farmers, Swal Corporation has trained 3500 dealers by conducting 40 launch events. Trishuk has received a welcoming response from the dealers and farmers.
Mr. Pankaj Joshi, Business Head, SWAL Corporation said, “We understand that Sugarcane is an economically important crop for the Indian farmer. With that in mind, we have launched Trishuk to provide the best weed management solution. We have seen excellent weed control in Grasses, Broad leave weeds, and sedges with best-in-class crop safety and long-duration weed control. The farmers are our key stakeholders, and we are dedicated to their welfare and prosperity. Through innovation, we want to improve their lives financially. Trishuk is one such product that will aid the sugarcane farmers in increasing their incomes and crop yield”.
Amit Patil, a sugarcane farmer from Kolhapur, Maharashtra, said, I used Trishuk one month after Sugarcane Planting in my field. At that time, weeds were on 3-4 leaves. The use of Trishuk controlled 100% of the weeds in my field, and weeds did not grow again for 50-60 days. So, I saved Rs. 3-4 thousand from the labour and other herbicides for weed control.
