15,000 solar water pumps to be installed in Haryana under PM-KUSUM Scheme

28 June 2020, Chandigarh: The State Agriculture Department of Haryana is implementing a programme for installation of solar pumps for agriculture purpose under the ambit of ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM)‘ Scheme of Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India. Under this Scheme, 15,000 off-grid solar pumps are being installed in the state with 75 percent subsidy.

The Department of New & Renewable Energy has specified that the applications for installation of Solar Water Pumping Systems under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM)’ Scheme of the Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy are being received only through SARAL portal i.e. saralharyana.gov.in.

No money is required to be deposited at the time of application. The implementation guidelines and other details about the Scheme are available on official portal of the Ministry www.mnre.gov.in as well as hareda.gov.in.

Giving information in this regard, an official spokesman said that it has come to the notice that few new websites have cropped up as registration portal for this Scheme. Such websites are potentially duping general public and misusing data through false registration portals. Therefore, to avoid any loss to the general public, people are advised that the application under PM-KUSUM Scheme for Solar Water Pumping System to be installed in Haryana are being received online through SARAL portal of the state government i.e. www.saralharyana.gov.in and there is no other portal for this purpose.
