One lakh Kisan Samruddhi Kendras (PMKSKs) operational in India
30 June 2023, New Delhi: About one lakh Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samruddhi Kendras (PMKSKs) have become operational in the country. These farm inputs shops are a one-stop solution for all needs of farmers.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister Mansukh Mandaviya inaugurated 600 PM-Kisan Samridhi Kendras (PM-KSKs) in New Delhi last year. As per the latest update, the number has reached 1 lakh.
PM-Kisan Samridhi Kendras cater to the needs of farmers in the country and provide agri inputs like fertilizers, seeds, and equipment. It also provides information about various government schemes and ensures regular capacity building of retailers at block/district level sales centers. At least one retail shop at each district level will be converted into a model shop in the pilot phase. It is proposed to convert 3,30,499 retail fertilizer shops into PM-KSKs.
