Indian farmers to get sulphur-coated Urea for the first time

30 June 2023, New Delhi: The Indian government has decided to introduce Sulphur coated Urea (Urea Gold) for the first time in the country. This was announced by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) earlier this week. Sulphur-coated urea will be more economical and efficient than the currently used Neem-coated urea.
The new sulphur coated urea will address Sulphur deficiency in the Indian soil. It will also save input costs for the farmers and also raise incomes for farmers with enhanced production & productivity.
