Farmers will be able to buy Bharat brand fertilizers from Kisan Samruddhi Kendra
17 October 2022, New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the PM Kisan Samman Sammelan & Agri Startup Conclave and Exhibition 2022 at Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) in New Delhi today.
On this occasion, PM Modi also inaugurated 600 Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samruddhi Kendra (PM-KSK) across India. Kisan Samruddhi Kendras have been developed by redeveloping existing fertilizer shops into one stop shops for the farmers. On these shops, the farmers will be able to purchase seeds, Bharat Brand fertilizers, pesticides all at one shop without the need to visit 2-3 shops to buy agri-inputs. They will also be able to rent agriculture machines including drones. These centres will also help farmers in understanding agriculture schemes.
Bharat Brand Fertilizer
Farmers used to buy fertilizers of different companies. They used to get confused with the names of companies. They also had different perception about the quality of different fertilizers sold by various companies in the market. Even though the government provides subsidy on fertilisers and helps in procurement, the farmers were always doubtful about quality of fertilizer offered by various companies.
To remove all the doubt, the government has implemented Bharat Brand fertilisers. All the fertilisers like Urea, DAP, NPK, MOP, etc will now be named as Bharat Urea, Bharat DAP, etc., and will look the same.
With the implementation of this new Bharat brand fertilizer branding, all the fertilizer bags will look the same, hence farmers can buy without being doubtful about the quality of the fertilizer. The farmers will be able to buy these Bharat brand fertilisers from Kisan Samruddhi Kendra.
The government is in process to develop 3.25 lakh Kisan Samruddhi Kendra across India to provide better service to the farmers.
