KVK, Washim organizes Citrus Field Day and Shivar Pheri

23 January 2022, Maharashtra: The Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Washim, Maharashtra organized the “Citrus Field Day” and “Shivar Pheri” in the Wadji Village today.

Delivering the inaugural address, the chief Guest, Dr. R.M. Gade, Director (Extension Education), Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola, Maharashtra applauded the KVK’s role in the horizontal spread of technology through the adopted Village.

Shri Anantraoji Deshmukh, Former Member of Parliament & Chairman Suvide Foundation, Risod highlighted the performance of the Model Citrus Orchards established in group approach by the Youths in the Wadji Village. He also underlined the efforts that are being made through the KVK to take the farmer out of the crop based income system and encourage them for the value-addition and other farming options like Horticulture Orchard, etc.

Earlier welcoming the dignitaries, Dr. R.L. Kale, Head, KVK, Washim emphasized on the interventions and technical backstopping provided by the KVK.
