“Pashu Arogya Mela-cum-Krishi Unnati Mela” and “Udyan Mahotsav – 2022” organized

23 April 2022, New Delhi: The Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Pusa, Samastipur, Bihar organized the “Pashu Arogya Mela-cum-Krishi Unnati Mela” and “Udyan Mahotsav – 2022” from 15th to 17th April, 2022. The events were organized at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, East Champaran District under the Directorate of Extension Education of RPCAU, Pusa, Bihar.

Delivering his inaugural address, Mr. Parshottam Rupala, Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying regarded dairying as the backbone for natural farming. The Union Minister stated that the dairying helps for the development of the family and the society. He underlined Bihar’s potential area for fish farming and highlighted the natural resources related to the fish farming that are abundantly available.

Mr. Radha Mohan Singh, Member of Parliament, Motihari & Former Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare; Shri Mangal Pandey, Minister of Health, Government of Bihar; Shri Pramod Kumar, Minister of Sugarcane and Law, Government of Bihar and Shri Mangal Pandey, State Health Minister, Government of Bihar along with the other Senior Officials of State Agricultural Universities also marked their presence during the occasion.

Mr. Tar Kishore Prasad, Deputy Chief Minister, Government of Bihar; Mr. Vijay Kumar Sinha, Speaker, Bihar Assembly and Mr. Sushil Kumar Modi, Former Deputy Chief Minister, Government of Bihar & Current Member of Parliament also graced the valedictory ceremony.

Earlier, welcoming the dignitaries, Dr. R.C. Srivastava, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. RPCAU, Pusa, Bihar stated that the production of milk and fish in an organic way will help to achieve self-reliance.
