Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala Had A Detailed Discussion With The Traders And Farmers Of Bikaner Regarding Increasing

Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala had a detailed discussion with the traders and farmers of Bikaner regarding increasing the yield of crops like Isabgol, Groundnut, Cumin etc. in Haryana. Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala, who arrived in Bikaner, Rajasthan on Saturday, was welcomed with traditional Rajasthani turban at the grain market by the local traders.

During this visit he discussed about the farmers and mandis of Rajasthan as well as the possibility of getting new crops in Haryana.

Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that he was aware of the villages and towns of the region, their social aspects and agriculture. In a conversation with the market traders, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that in Haryana, a total of thirteen crops including groundnut, bajra are being procured on minimum support price with assistance under Bhavantar scheme.

Deputy Chief Minister informed that few years back in Haryana, only 4 crops were purchased on Minimum Support Price but now 13 crops are being purchased on minimum support price and fruits and vegetables are also being given remunerative price under Bhavantar Yojana. He said that he would like that the improved seeds of Isabgol, cumin and groundnut from Rajasthan should also be made available to the farmers of Haryana so that they too can take advantage of their cultivation.
