Haryana Agricultural Development Fair to be held in Hisar from October 8 – 10

03 October 2023, Chandigarh: Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister, Mr. Jai Prakash Dalal has called upon the farmers of the state to visit the Haryana Agricultural Development Fair which is scheduled to take place at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University in Hisar from October 8 to 10.

This event will witness the participation of Haryana Governor, Mr. Bandaru Dattatraya, Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, several state ministers, and a large number of farmers.

Minister, Mr. Dalal invited everyone to attend the fair, and he expressed his intention to expand it to the scale of the Surajkund Fair and organise it every year in future.

Giving detailed information in this regard, Mr. Dalal said that apart from Haryana, agricultural universities, agricultural scientists and entrepreneurs from other states have also been invited to the fair. Apart from this, Israel, which is supporting India in the agriculture sector, will also be the main centre of attraction. Many centres of excellence have also been established in Haryana under the Indo-Israel project, he added.

He stated that in addition to a crop competition and agricultural and industrial expo, cultural events and Haryanvi traditional art would also be organised as part of the fair. The agriculture fair’s attendees will also relish the food made with coarse grains.  He acknowledged the significant contribution of Haryana’s farmers to the country’s food reserves.

Mr. Dalal further said that Mr. M.S. Swaminathan, the father of Green Revolution, will also be remembered during the event.
