02 March 2024, New Delhi: Registration for wheat purchase is going on in Madhya Pradesh, but in the meantime, the government has given another relief to the farmers. CM Mohan Yadav’s government has extended the date of registration for purchasing wheat at support price in the Rabi marketing year 2024-25. Now farmers can register themselves for wheat procurement till March 6. Earlier the registration period was fixed till March 1.
Now the wheat growers of the state will have 5 more days to register for selling wheat at support price. There were reports of registration not being completed in many districts of the state, after which the government has taken this decision.
In fact, due to unseasonal rains in many districts of Madhya Pradesh, the harvesting of the crop is delayed. Therefore, there was a demand from many districts to extend the date of registration, after which the government extended the date of registration for wheat purchases.
