25 March 2022, Madhya Pradesh: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that every grain of wheat produced by the farmers will be purchased by the state government. He also gave necessary instructions to the officers regarding speedy sale and milling of paddy while reviewing Rabi procurement, disposal and milling of stored paddy today.
Mr. Chouhan said that there should be no shortcomings in the arrangements for wheat procurement. Godowns should be arranged for storage. He said that export of wheat should be promoted as Madhya Pradesh wheat has its own identity. The procurement for wheat will happen keeping in mind the new provisions of Rabi Registration 2022-23.
He also said that there is a system of registration through biometric verification at wheat procurement centers. Along with this, arrangement has also been made for nominee in registrations. Arrangements for registration of Aadhaar-less, old and physically challenged farmers has also been made. The new system of procurement registration has provision for slot booking in place of SMS.
