World Food Prize Foundation Announces New Program Manager, Building Events

14 December 2022, Iowa: The World Food Prize Foundation has announced that Monica Gatrost has joined the organization as the new Program Manager of Building Events. 

In this position, Monica assists the Foundation’s administration and facilities team in coordinating the management and execution of private events at the Norman E. Borlaug Hall of Laureates. She also supports the overall function of the historic facility and the Foundation’s programmatic events.

“We are so pleased to have Monica join our team at the Hall of Laureates to develop our approach and relationships for the many private events we host at the building,” said President Barbara Stinson. “With her experience in event planning and execution, our private events and engagement will be driven to new heights.”

Monica has significant experience coordinating events, from weddings to corporate meetings and fundraisers. She brings valuable vendor relationships and a strong understanding of the industry to her work at the World Food Prize Foundation.

“I am excited to join the World Food Prize Foundation team and share the beautiful Hall of Laureates with clients for their special occasions,” Monica said. “I look forward to growing our event portfolio and helping support the World Food Prize mission.”

Before joining the Foundation, Monica worked as an Executive Assistant at York Realty. Previously, Monica worked at Eventfully Yours as an Event Manager, where she collaborated with vendors and clients to design and execute a wide range of events in Central Iowa.
