World Food Prize Foundation Announces New Event Manager/ Senior Executive Assistant to the Vice President

07 July 2021, Iowa: The World Food Prize Foundation announced today that Brian Ryerson has been selected to join the organization’s team as the Event Manager/Executive Assistant to the Vice President.

“As the Foundation expands, it is essential that we support our staff with bright, inspired minds like Brian’s,” said Barbara Stinson, President, World Food Prize Foundation. “I am confident that his approach to building relationships and organizing events will bring a new dimension to our building, events and the whole organization.”

In this position, Brian manages and oversees Vice President Husain’s schedule, correspondence and executive engagements, while assisting with administrative duties related to fundraising, human resources and finances. He will also manage the organization’s CRM database, curating essential World Food Prize Foundation records.

In addition, he will assist with the promotion and management of the Norman E. Borlaug Hall of Laureates, overseeing private events hosted in the facility.

This LEED Platinum certified building retains the history of the former 1903 Des Moines City Library brought back to life to celebrate the innovations and actions of the WFP Laureates worldwide.”

Before joining the World Food Prize Foundation, he worked for Principal Financial Group in Des Moines, Iowa as an IT Senior Business Analyst. In this position, he was responsible for leading business analysis and research assignments while supporting senior leadership by hosting events and presentations.

Mr. Ryerson graduated from North Dakota State College of Science in 2007 with an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Science.
