Seipasa joins the UN Global Compact to promote corporate sustainability

23 February 2024, UN: Seipasa, a Spanish company specialising in the development, formulation and production of bioinsecticides, biofungicides, biostimulants and nutritional treatments for agriculture, has announced that it has joined the United Nations Global Compact, a voluntary leadership platform for developing, implementing and disseminating responsible business practices.

Seipasa joins a global network of companies committed to corporate responsibility in support of the United Nations’ efforts to address global challenges and build a sustainable and equitable future for all.

The UN Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, with more than 15,000 corporate members and 3,800 non-business signatories in over 160 countries. It promotes the adoption of ten universally accepted principles in areas such as human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.

María del Puig Mora, Seipasa’s Quality and Environment manager, stressed the importance of aligning Seipasa’s Corporate Social Responsibility policy with the objectives of the UN Global Compact.

“Seipasa’s CSR aims to have a positive impact on society and, more specifically, on the community of which we are a part, by promoting healthy food free of chemical waste. We do this through a business model based on Natural Technology and committed to sustainable production and development”.

“Joining the UN Global Compact is a further demonstration of our commitment and alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),” said Mora

Sharing solutions to global challenges

For his part, David Candil, project manager of Seipasa, stressed the importance of companies making progress in finding joint solutions to global challenges through this type of initiative:

“The UN Global Compact sums up much of Seipasa’s efforts in recent years to strengthen corporate sustainability in all areas related not only to environmental protection, but also to the promotion of quality work and the fight against corruption in all its forms”.
