Thanks to FiBL Switzerland’s support through the QFTP Program, Ukrainian organic products were presented at the Middle East Organic & Natural Products Expo in Dubai in December.

Bringing organic actors together in the Middle East for over 20 years

The Middle East Organic & Natural Products Expo has been connecting organic actors for the past 21 years, including business-to-business importers, wholesalers, retailers and distributors. Tobias Eisenring, who manages the QFTP Program at FiBL Switzerland, underlines the importance for Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to participate in such international trade fairs to access new markets and strengthen their position as reliable suppliers of value-added products. The overall goal of QFTP is to promote sustainable trade and create more and better jobs by strengthening the business competitiveness and capacities of SMEs in the organic and dairy sectors.

Focus on cereal and dairy products

This year, five Ukrainian producers/exporters presented their organic products at the trade fair. Among them were cereal products such as amaranth flakes, amaranth seed flour, wheat flour and corn sticks, as well as dairy products, including drinking yoghurt, cheeses, sour cream and high oleic sunflower oil.
