02 March 2022, New Delhi: The ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad organized the “24th Annual Conference of Society of Statistics, Computer and Applications (SSCA), Recent Advances in Statistical Theory and Applications – RASTA – 2022” from 23rd to 27th February, 2022.
Delivering the inaugural address, Dr. R.C. Agrawal, Deputy Director General (Agricultural Education), ICAR underlined the increasing popularity of the Agricultural Education and the Council’s commitment for improving the quality of Agricultural Universities & increasing the intakes to meet the growing requirements of Graduates from Agricultural Sciences.
Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad emphasized on the emerging issues in Agricultural Sciences, particularly, the climate change challenges and India’s commitments for reducing the Greenhouse Gases.
Dr. V.K. Gupta, Former National Professor, ICAR & President, SSCA urged the young researchers for working harder and exploring the new avenues.
The Conference was aimed at bringing the Statisticians, Economists, Computer Scientists and Researchers from the various disciplines on a common platform and discuss the advances made & emerging issues.
More than 160 Researchers, Students and Experts from the different parts of the country participated in the Conference.
