02 March 2022, New Delhi: The ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, North Goa, ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Goa organized the three Capacity Building Programmes on “Scientific Beekeeping” under the National Beekeeping and Honey Mission from 21st to 28th February, 2022.
Delivering the inaugural address, Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director, ICAR-CCARI, Goa briefed about the Honeybees’ role in pollination and increasing the productivity in the cross-pollinated crops apart from getting honey.
Earlier, welcoming the dignitaries, Shri H.R.C. Prabhu, Senior Scientist & Head, ICAR-KVK, North Goa highlighted the importance of the course.
The participants were provided with the Exposure Visit to the “Ras Raj Farms”, Mollem, Dharbandora.
The programme organized as a part of the “Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav” to commemorate 75 Years of India’s Independence registered participation by 75 participants.
