Haryana’s sugarcane farmers to get their due amount

04 July 2021, Chandigarh: Haryana’s sugarcane farmers will now get their due amount from cooperative sugar mills soon. The state government has released Rs 315 crore loan to cooperative sugar mills for payment of all dues of cane crushing season 2020-21.

Apart from this, the government has also released subsidy of Rs 47 crore to sugar mills which includes subsidy for Saraswati Mill. This information was given by the Additional Chief Secretary, Cooperation Department, Mr. Sanjeev Kaushal. Giving the details of the amount released to the cooperative sugar mills, he said that Rs 34.50 crore was given to the cooperative sugar mill of Panipat, Rs 14.60 crore to the cooperative sugar mill of Rohtak, Rs 36 crore to the cooperative sugar mill of Karnal and Rs 33.30 crore to the cooperative sugar mill of Sonipat. Similarly, 32.70 crore has been released to Shahbad’s Co-operative Sugar Mill, Rs.20.60 crore to Jind’s Co-operative Sugar Mill, Rs.33.50 crore to Palwal’s Co-operative Sugar Mill,  Rs.48 crore to Meham’s Co-operative Sugar Mill,  Rs.31.80 crore to Kaithal’s Co-operative Sugar Mill, and Rs.30 crore has been released to Co-operative Sugar Mill of Gohana.
