10 thousand crores transferred to Madhya Pradesh farmers
Till now 10 thousand crores have been transferred to Madhya Pradesh farmers for wheat procurement.
17th May 2020, Bhopal: During the last 45 days, an amount of Rs. 16 thousand 489 crore has been transferred by Madhya Pradesh Government in the bank accounts of 2 crore 94 thousand poor, labourers and farmers.
Exhibiting sensitivity and commitment towards the welfare of the poor, the Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has transferred amount directly in the bank accounts of the beneficiaries under the various schemes of the government. An amount of rupees 6 thousand 489 crore has been transfered in the accounts of the beneficiaries under various schemes and an amount of 10 thousand crore has been paid to the farmers for the wheat procurement.
An amount of Rs. 2 thousand 981 crore was transferred by the government against the crop insurance scheme in the bank accounts of 15 lakh farmers. Despite corona crisis, the best arrangement to procure wheat from the farmers has been made.
So far this year, 87 lakh 43 thousand MT wheat has been procured from 12 lakh 61 thousand farmers and Rs. 10 thousand crore has been deposited in the bank accounts of the farmers against the procured wheat. Similarly, Rs. 451 crore to One lakh 78 thousand 417 beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), Rs. 82 crore 41 lakh to 8 thousand 241 beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) and Rs.41 crore 33 lakh to 1963 beneficiaries under Sambal Yojana has been transferred.
