Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare visits ICAR-Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Bhopal
12 October 2022, New Delhi: Mr. Kailash Choudhary, Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare visited ICAR – Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Bhopal today.
During his interaction with all the staff of the Institute and few farmer representatives Mr. Choudhary stressed on the need of mechanization in the changing climatic conditions. He complemented the Scientists for the significant achievements of the Institute in the field of farm mechanization. The Minister also urged the scientists to work more for making India a developed country in the field of agricultural mechanization by 2047.
Dr. C. R. Mehta, Director, ICAR-CIAE briefed about the recent research and extension activities of the Institute.
Dr. M.C Manna, Director, ICAR – Indian institute of Soil Science, Bhopal and Dr. Aniket Sanyal, Director, ICAR – National Institute of High Security Animal Diseases, Bhopal were also present.
Later, different machineries and technologies developed by the institute were demonstrated to him. The Minister showed keen interest in the latest machinery developed by the Institute for precise input application and drone based research facility
