Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Participate in Sashakt Nari – Viksit Bharat Program, Witness Agricultural Drone Demonstrations by Namo Drone Didis, and Support Self-Help Groups

11 March 2024, New Delhi: Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi is set to engage in a series of impactful initiatives aimed at empowering women, promoting agricultural innovation, and supporting self-help groups (SHGs). The momentous event, titled “Sashakt Nari – Viksit Bharat,” will take place today at New Delhi.

The highlight of the program will be the unveiling of agricultural drone demonstrations conducted by the esteemed Namo Drone Didis. These skilled women drone operators, equipped with cutting-edge technology, have been making significant contributions to the agricultural sector. Prime Minister Modi will have the opportunity to witness their remarkable skills firsthand, showcasing the potential of drone technology in revolutionizing farming practices.

In a tribute to the achievements of women across the country, the Prime Minister will felicitate Lakhpati Didis, recognizing their extraordinary efforts and accomplishments. These women, through their hard work and entrepreneurial spirit, have succeeded in becoming self-made millionaires, serving as inspiring role models for others.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Modi will take a significant step towards empowering SHGs by disbursing approximately Rs 8,000 crore in bank loans. This financial support aims to strengthen the economic foundations of these groups, enabling them to expand their businesses, create employment opportunities, and contribute to the overall development of the nation.

Additionally, a Capitalization Support Fund of about Rs 2,000 crore will be provided to SHGs, further bolstering their financial capabilities and facilitating their access to resources for sustainable growth.

In a momentous gesture, Prime Minister Modi will hand over drones to 1,000 Namo Drone Didis, empowering them with state-of-the-art technology and tools to enhance their agricultural and entrepreneurial endeavors. This initiative aims to foster innovation, efficiency, and productivity in the agricultural sector, while also promoting women’s participation in technology-driven industries.
