Haryana govt to ensure water availability for every farmer in the state

09 May 2022, Chandigarh: Haryana Government is efficiently helping the farmers from getting seed to selling their produce in the market. The main objective of the government is to ensure that water reaches every field so that farmers become prosperous which is why Mukhyamantri Bagwani Bima Yojana and Pashu Kisan Credit Card (PKCC) have been started.

Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr. JP Dalal gave this information while distributing credit cards on behalf of Sarva Haryana Gramin Bank for animal husbandry to the farmers in Chandwas village of Charkhi-Dadri today. On this occasion, the Agriculture Minister gave credit cards for agriculture and animal husbandry to 325 farmers of 12 villages for an amount of about Rs. 5 crore.

He said that along with the production of agriculture, animal husbandry and promoting milk production is very important for the prosperity of farmers. With the help of Pashu Kisan Credit Card, a farmer can easily raise cows, buffaloes, sheep, goats, pigs, etc. in his home or field. He said that for this, a loan of up to Rs. 3 lakh is given and a subsidy of three percent interest is also given on its repayment on time. Loan up to Rs. 1.60 lakh can be taken on this card without security. Under the Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana, maximum loan is being provided through PKCC.

Addressing the farmers from Chandwas village and surrounding areas, the Agriculture Minister said that any bank which works for the betterment of the farmers automatically progresses. The present government is bearing the responsibility of the farmer from seed to market. Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi and Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal are the biggest benefactors of the farmers. Farmers can get themselves registered and take advantage of micro irrigation system at 85 percent subsidy. The government is ready to bear the entire cost if a farmer wants to build a pond in his field for the community.

The Agriculture Minister said that farmers should leave traditional farming and pay attention to crop diversification. Under the Mukhyamantri Bagwani Bima Yojana, the work has been done to make the farmer growing fruits and vegetables risk free. This government has not allowed farmers to face losses till date by giving compensation from the Pradhanmantri Fasal Bima Yojana or help by the government. Moreover, financial assistance of the farmer has been increased many times as compared to the previous governments.

On the request of former MLA, Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Mandhi, the Agriculture Minister assured to take early action regarding setting up of digital library in Chandwas, getting canal water and establishment of sub-divisional agriculture office at Badhra. The Agriculture Minister also inaugurated the hall room built under the SSA scheme in the Chandwas school premises. He also visited Badhra Power House and directed the Power Department to get the damaged 6 MVA transformer replaced immediately.
