China: 2024 Chinese Farmers Poetry Society New Year’s Eve Party held

Recently, amidst the lively singing and dancing of “Happy Together”, the 2024 Chinese Farmers Poetry Society New Year’s Eve Gala kicked off at Tiaotou Literature and Art Market Town, Zhongtai Street, Yuhang District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. This event was guided by the Rural Social Undertakings Promotion Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and hosted by the China Agricultural Film and Television Center, the Hangzhou Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, and the Yuhang District People’s Government of Hangzhou. The theme was “Meet to Dance·New Power of Poetry” “.

At the party, representatives of peasant poets from all over the country gathered together to spend the dazzling New Year’s Eve night. The evening party will end with the award ceremony of the winning works of the “2023 Chinese Farmers Poetry Society Works Collection”. It consists of six themed chapters such as ecology, culture, era, and vision, covering singing and dancing, acrobatics, interviews, situational performances, poetry recitations, and lottery interactions. Waiting for more than 20 exciting programs. During the party, representatives of farmer poets from all over the country confidently and bravely stepped onto the stage of the Farmers Poetry Society to express their dreams, praise the harvest, speak for agriculture, rural areas and farmers, and cheer for the comprehensive promotion of rural revitalization.

At the party, Ning Qiwen, Party Secretary, Director and Editor-in-Chief of the China Agricultural Film and Television Center, delivered a speech and read out the list of award-winning works and poets. Tang Ke, Director of the Rural Social Undertakings Promotion Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and others presented awards to the poets who won the first, second, third, and excellence awards of the year. The theme song of the Chinese Farmers Poetry Society “Start From Here” brought a successful conclusion to the wonderful and successful New Year’s Eve party.

Since the official launch of the 2023 China Farmers Poetry Society work collection event, the competition organizing committee has received 10,089 outstanding works (pieces) with local flavor and pastoral warmth created by 6,253 poets from across the country. The review experts adhere to the principles of impartiality, fairness and openness. In the end, 3 first prizes, 8 second prizes, 14 third prizes and 28 excellence awards were awarded.
