Syngenta India gets approval to spray its fungicide Amistar Top through drone

05 June 2022, New Delhi: Syngenta India on Monday announced that it has received government’s approval to spray fungicide using drones. Central Insecticide Board, the regulatory authority under Agricultural Ministry has given approval to the company to spray its fungicide Amistar Top on Paddy using drones. 

Amistar Top is a broad spectrum fungicide (technical: Azoxystrobin 18.2% + Difenoconazole 11.4% SC) effective to fight blast and sheath blight, mentioned the company.

The company has also received approval for its product Ampligo for drone spraying which is a broad spectrum insecticide.

Susheel Kumar, MD, Syngenta India, country head said “Drone technology is the need of the hour for Indian agriculture. The government has taken a timely decision to approve the use of drones for spraying purposes. Use of drones will address the key issues of labour and water shortage. Syngenta is proud to be a trendsetter.”
