06 February 2024, Europe: As of January 2024 Jens Hartmann, Head of Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) from Bayer Crop Science is the new Chair of the Board of Directors at CropLife Europe.
Jens Hartmann: “The agricultural sector is undergoing a significant transition. As we navigate this change, collaboration remains most essential for the success of a farmer-led digital and green transformation. Together, we want farming tonot only feed the world but also to protect it. We have an immense and fascinating challenge ahead, and it’s one of main reasons why I am excited to be serving as the new Chair of the CropLife Europe Board.”
Jens is a member of Bayer’s Crop Science Executive Leadership Team and serves as the division’s Regional Head for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Jens has worked in the agriculture sector for over 30 years with various leadership roles in commercial, marketing and enabling functions in Europe, Asia, and Africa.
