19 December 2023, Maharashtra: A State level Agriculture, Horticulture, Organic, Irrigation, Processing, Cold Chain, and Warehousing conference was held recently at the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) Matunga Mumbai organized by Maharashtra State Mango Growers Association (MSMGA) under the presidency of Chandrakant Mokal.
The Chief Guest Burjis Godrej, Executive Director, Godrej Agrovet Ltd. inaugurated the conference. He mentioned that from Maharashtra, Mangoes, and Grapes are exported at large scale, further, he stated that this year the exports of mangoes have touched Rs. 350 Crores. India Stands at no. 11 for the export of Grapes among the countries like Netherlands, Russia, UAE, Bangladesh, etc.
Chandrakant Mokal, President of MSMGA said, “This conference is called for providing concrete solutions to the farmers for existing adverse conditions in farming and to create marketing scope for farmer producer companies/Organizations.”
On the occasion, Deepak Kumar Mishra Deputy GM of S.B.I. for Financial Inclusion and Agriculture, Ajit Lagoo, SVP & Business Head, NBHC ProComm Laboratory inspection & Lab Testing Services, Deepak Kute, District Superintendent and Agriculture officer Thane, Amit Gaikwad from Jivagro Agri Solutions offered their valuable guidance.
